It is very clear that the Vikings didn’t make a strong enough offer for the stadium.  I applaud the legislators for holding their ground on this decision.  Staring at a 4.5 billion debt and a projected deficit of over 1 billion for the next budget–I’d say the money is not there yet.  And, don’t be fooled–the Vikings know the deal was not sustainable and there are other options, there are always other options.  Kudos to the Republicans and Democrats who didn’t let the latest proposal out of committee.
